Lip Augmentation
Lip augmentation is intended to give the face "fuller" and fleshy lips, as they are an important element of facial aesthetics. In any person, a particular size of lips should match in proportion to the remaining lines of the face. Thin lips or too elevated lips are an important negative factor. Our aim in lip augmentation cases, regardless of the process you choose, that lips appear natural and match the rest of the face, without showing evidence of exaggeration. The ways to facilitate the augmentation of thin lips are many and are divided into methods which use injectable materials, implants or autologous materials as well as surgical methods.
Injectable materials to the lips
The kinds of materials that can be used for this purpose can vary, some of them are of limited duration, such as hyaluronic acid, etc. Some others have a long-term or even permanent effect, such as the method of using collagen mixed with acrylic materials.
For lip augmentation, a specially processed hyaluronic acid form is used for a natural-looking result and satisfactory duration. Hyaluronic acid, even though previously didn't last enough, today its duration has extended greatly. Within the first applications, the effect remains for about six months, but usually, as one person repeats the procedure, the duration is increased as the body breaks down a rate of about 20% of the substance with each application. The injection can be done gradually and therefore the patient isn't at risk of an augmentation larger than the one originally intended.
If the final result does not satisfy the patient, by using a specific enzyme, hyaluronidase, hyaluronic acid is dissolved and the patient can return to his/her original state within 24 hours. This provides additional confidence to people that may fear of having an unnatural-looking result.
The best course of action, so that a person can ensure the result is according to their lies, is to perform the augmentation gradually by injection and placement of small amounts of hyaluronic acid weekly, until the desired result is reached. It is known that hyaluronic acid is safe as the material does not cause any health problem, adverse reactions or discharges from the body, as it is something that already exists in the body and is responsible for retaining skin moisture.
