COSMETIC BODY PLASTIC SURGERY

ABDOMINOPLASTY

Abdominoplasty is a surgical operation whose aim is to remove fat and excess skin, throughout the part of the abdomen and to tighten the muscles of the abdominal wall. It is an operation applied to both women and men.
In women, it is performed mostly after one or more pregnancies, addressing troublesome stretch marks formed, while in both MEN and WOMEN it permanently addresses the lack of elasticity and sagging skin after weight loss. Abdominoplasty also helps to remove excess skin and to achieve the tightening of muscles in the body, improves the line of your waist and makes the abdomen appear more flat and shapely. This procedure does not remove mainly fat but removes loose skin and tightens the muscles in the abdomen region.
When we refer to abdominoplasty we include three types of operations depending on the needs of each individual:
The classic abdominoplasty: this is the removal of abdominal wall by a cut which extends from one iliac crest to the other, allowing us to remove a large amount of loose skin that comes either from pregnancy, or large and sudden weight loss which resulted in the relaxation of the abdomen.
Mini abdominoplasty is an operation which involves an imperceptible incision in the lower part of the abdominal wall where a smaller part of the abdomen is removed. It is usually performed in relatively slim women who can comfortably combine liposuction and elimination of stretch marks. The incision is relatively small and is at the least visible point as it is covered by underwear.

These surgeries require around 24 hours of hospitalization and an expected recovery time of approximately 10 days as they offer a visually appealing result.
